The work develops through the simultaneity of repetition and difference. Identical formats function as serial units whose meaning emerges only through their relationship to one another. Displacement becomes a fundamental operation that does not expand the composition additively but reorganizes it internally. Through the material presence of the painted MDF panels, the installation occupies a position between pictorial surface and relief. The modules function both as carriers of color and as physical elements asserting themselves as bodies in front of the wall. The work thus operates in the transitional zone between painting, object, and architectural structure. “Displacements” examines how minimal spatial operations can transform visual order. Perception emerges from relational differences within a modular system in which position, distance, and displacement become constitutive factors of pictorial structure.
Die Arbeit entwickelt ihre Wirkung aus der Gleichzeitigkeit von Wiederholung und Differenz. Identische Formate fungieren als serielle Einheiten, deren Bedeutung sich erst im Verhältnis zueinander konstituiert. Verschiebung wird dabei zu einer elementaren Operation, die Komposition nicht additiv erweitert, sondern intern reorganisiert. Durch die Materialität der bemalten MDF-Platten entsteht eine Situation zwischen Bildfläche und Relief. Die Module sind zugleich Träger von Farbe und physische Elemente, die sich als eigenständige Körper vor der Wand behaupten. Die Installation bewegt sich damit im Übergangsbereich von Malerei, Objekt und architektonischer Struktur. „Displacements“ untersucht, wie minimale räumliche Operationen visuelle Ordnung verändern können. Wahrnehmung entsteht hier aus relationalen Differenzen innerhalb eines modularen Systems, in dem Position, Abstand und Verschiebung zu konstitutiven Faktoren der Bildstruktur werden.
