Placed on the floor, the work enters into a direct relationship with the architectural setting and the movement of the viewer. Perception develops through shifting viewpoints in which the continuity of the surface and the spatial break of the form become alternately apparent. The floor object understands folding as a structural principle that enables transformation without additive construction. Sculptural form emerges from the modification of an existing plane, making visible the moment in which surface becomes space.
Durch die Platzierung auf dem Boden wird die Arbeit in unmittelbare Beziehung zur architektonischen Situation und zur Bewegung der Betrachtenden gesetzt. Wahrnehmung entsteht aus wechselnden Blickwinkeln, in denen sich Kontinuität der Fläche und räumliche Brechung der Form unterschiedlich manifestieren. Das Bodenobjekt versteht Faltung als strukturelles Prinzip, das Transformation ohne additive Erweiterung ermöglicht. Die skulpturale Form entsteht aus der Veränderung einer vorhandenen Ebene und macht den Moment sichtbar, in dem Fläche in Raum übergeht.
